In 2015, DEKRA became the official technical partner of the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA), overseeing the technical pre-race inspection process. During each TUDOR United SportsCar Championship race this season, we have been proud to present the DEKRA Green Challenge Award to the most environmentally clean, fast and efficient GT Le Mans competitor.
The first season of a successful partnership comes to an end at at Road Atlanta where we will present the first annual DEKRA Green Racing Championship award!
The event schedule for the Petit Le Mans includes practice races beginning on Wednesday, September 30 culminating in the TUDOR Championship race on Saturday, October 3. Following the race, DEKRA will present the winner of the DEKRA Green Challenge Award as well as the first annual DEKRA Green Racing Championship Award for the season.
DEKRA will also be celebrating 90 years in safety at the Road America track along with staff, partners and customers. Our mission to improve safety at work, at home and on the road has grown DEKRA to become one of the world’s leading expert organizations with 35,000 employees in 50 countries on all five continents. With DEKRA's 26 million vehicle inspections conducted worldwide annually, we bring our expertise to the track and help validate IMSA's race car inspections.
